What an incredible 3 months! So much has happened! We have been loving being out and about in community, providing access to health and wellness services and treatments to homeless and vulnerable young people. During the months April to June we gave back 190 wellness session to 88 people in deep need! To date we have provided 3932 treatments to 2360 people in deep need.  How do we do this you ask? Well in 2 main ways – through the incredible support of our amazing tribe of GiveBack Ambassadors who are part of our subscription program and our amazing Corporate and Government clients who simply choose us to provide their Workplace and Events Massage. Big love and gratitude to our growing community of businesses who support us (or as we call them, GiveBack Ambassadors!). Over the past 3 months you guys enabled us to give back a whopping 141 treatments that we paid forward to those in DEEP need. Ah-mazing!  We now have an amazing directory which means you can find and support these businesses really simply! And thanks to the following companies and organisations for getting our vision and creating change through social procurement. Thanks to Infoxchange, Encircle, Queensland Family and Child Commission and St George Bank for the TEDx Sydney Activation we provided 30 hours of Massage and paid forward 30 Massages to young people in deep need of therapeutic touch and healing. Our GiveBack during these past 3 months saw us:
  • regularly providing treatments at Red Cross Night Café– 22 hours spent on 51 homeless and vulnerable young people to be exact! The Night Café provides a safe space away from the streets for young people experiencing homelessness aged 12 to 25 years in Brisbane. Young people can access free hot meals, showers, first aid, information and support. They’re also invited to access relaxation and therapeutic treatments offered by our team. Many of these young people have never experienced massage or Bowen therapy or Reiki and it’s a powerful thing to witness their bravery to do so and the impact our treatments can have on them.
  • at Brisbane Youth Service’sCentre for Young Women and Centre for Young Families. We provided 10 massage, Bowen and Reiki treatments to 4 young mums and dads.
  • Sunshine Coast with our community partner, Integrated Family and Youth Services. 7 young mum’s in deep need have received 20 to 60 minutes of Massage each session.
  • And a big day out at the Brisbane Homeless Connect saw us provide 10 huge hours of Massage and Reflexology to 28 people experiencing homelessness and in need to being heard, cared for and allowed to feel safe.
Special thanks to our GiveBack Ambassadors who had the highest contributions for these months. The contribution from Kindred Toxin Free Facials will provide 18 health and wellbeing sessions to homeless and vulnerable young people and Verve Massage for an additional contribution  of 4  sessions.
